The life. Here is our high tech toilet.
And our high tech shower.
This is where we sleep while the big centre is being built.
And this is how we wash our clothes.
We walked into the closest village today, Chicumbletza. It consist of one church, one school, one doctors' office, one tienda, and two blocks of broken down houses. We cross through miles of thick dense jungle and over a huge-swinging-thrilling-scary suspension bridge to get there. This village does not have any internet access, and may not even have telephones. To get that, or a market with fresh food, we have to take a bus or a taxi from the main road another half an hour.
These are some of the lovely flowers on our walk.

And here is the bridge!
I have so much to say about the real work being done here, about the inner journey, its vistas and horizons, and how they shape themselves with the extraordinary environment. However, those words must come slowly, they must shape themselves with a rhythm and a language not yet born inside of me. You and I will both have to wait for those gems to tumble forth.
As I write this the rain comes down heavily, monsoon like. Rain and scorching sun alternate all day, and this, tonight, is the first fertile storm the children and I have seen yet. It is not surprising that it comes to me tonight, and I wonder at the rubies and sapphires that are revealing themselves up out of the mud en la noche, en la mañana :-) hasta la vista!!
